# Captions for Video Slides (Pro)

This feature requires the MetaSlider Slideshow Pro plugin.

It's possible to overlay captions on top of your [Local video slides](https://www.metaslider.com/docs/introduction-to-local-video-slides/), [External video slides](https://www.metaslider.com/docs/intro-external-video-slides/), [Vimeo slides](https://www.metaslider.com/docs/vimeo-slides/) and [YouTube slides](https://www.metaslider.com/docs/youtube-slides/). This image below shows a caption on top of a Vimeo video, using the "Highway" theme.

Here's an example of a caption on top of a YouTube video. This slideshow is using the "Nexus" theme. Please note that his different from the subtitles / captions that you can add to slideshows [using the VTT format](https://www.metaslider.com/docs/video-captions-for-local-videos/).

You can enter the captions for any of these slide types using the "Caption" tab. This screenshot below shows the "Caption" tab for a local video slide.
