Metaslider Gallery 2.31 — Custom Progress Bar Colors and Clearer Gallery Settings

Metaslider Gallery 2.31.0 gives site owners a new way to customize gallery playback: you can now choose the color of the Autoplay progress bar instead of being limited to the default red. This release also makes the settings screens clearer, improves how Free and Pro features are organized, and fixes several gallery display issues.

New: customize the Autoplay progress bar

If you use Autoplay in your galleries, the progress bar helps visitors see when the next image will appear. In 2.31.0, you can now set that progress bar color to better match your site’s branding, improve contrast, or simply make the gallery feel more integrated with your design.

  • Progress bar color — Choose a custom color for the Autoplay progress indicator instead of using the default red.
  • Clearer gallery language — Settings now use “gallery” terminology instead of “lightbox” where that better describes the visitor experience.
  • Rotate and Flip — The former “Rotate” feature has been renamed to reflect that it also supports flipping images.
  • Better Free and Pro organization — Settings have been reorganized so Free features and Pro-only options are easier to understand.

Clearer settings and Pro feature guidance

This update continues the move toward simpler, more consistent gallery settings. Labels and interface text have been updated from “lightbox” to “gallery” in relevant places, helping make the plugin’s options easier to scan and understand.

The “Rotate” setting has also been renamed to “Rotate and Flip,” making it clearer that the tool supports more than one type of image adjustment.

Free and Pro settings are now organized more clearly, with navigation-related Pro options grouped into a dedicated area and improved tooltip descriptions for Pro features.

Fixes in this release

Version 2.31.0 also includes a handful of important fixes for gallery behavior and settings reliability.

  • Captions restored — Captions now appear correctly in MetaSlider slideshows when the “Open in Gallery” button is enabled.
  • Pro feature toggles fixed — Pro features can now be disabled from settings as expected.
  • Content filtering corrected — Content filtering settings no longer incorrectly affect gallery display.
