MetaSlider Slideshow 3.110: Drag-and-Drop Sidebar, Theme Filters, and More Translations

MetaSlider Slideshow 3.110.0 focuses on making large slideshow libraries easier to manage. The headline addition is a new left sidebar in the slideshow editor, so you can drag slides between distant positions without the repetitive scrolling that big slideshows often require.

• Drag-and-drop slide sidebar: Use the new left sidebar while editing a slideshow to jump around and reorder slides more easily.

• More complete theme demos: Demo coverage has been expanded so each theme has an example, including previously missing themes. There are new demos available for the Architekt, Databold and Undertone themes.
• Theme filters in admin: Filter themes on the Slideshows screen to find relevant designs faster.

Other improvements and fixes

Version 3.110.0 also includes fixes and hardening changes that improve accuracy, safer output, and general admin polish.

• More accurate slide counts: The edit screen now reports the number of slides correctly for large slideshows.
• Safer imports: Slideshow imports now check for invalid file types and block unsafe URL targets.
• Safer frontend output: Numeric settings and full-width target settings are validated or escaped before being printed into slider JavaScript.
• Unsplash metadata hardening: Unsplash profile location and bio fields are now rendered as plain text in the admin UI.
• Admin polish: The recommended theme options notice can be dismissed, the toolbar link was updated, and the block name and icon were refreshed.
• Architekt theme tweak: Navigation numbers are larger by default for better readability.

For developers

There are a few compatibility and maintenance changes worth noting if you build on top of MetaSlider or maintain custom integrations.

• Settings sanitation: Global and slideshow settings saved through the API path are now allowlisted and sanitized more strictly.
• Deprecated view switching: The legacy switch_view method call has been deprecated and removed from active use.
• Dependency updates: Axios was updated to 1.17 and qs to 6.15.2, alongside build tooling cleanup for PostCSS warnings.
