MetaSlider Slideshow 3.113.0 is a major update for all MetaSlider users.
If you use the Free plugin, you can now add video in your sliders. Local Video slides are now included in the free plugin! You can also add Livid.com-hosted videos.

Video slides in the free plugin
The biggest user-facing change is that Local Video slides have moved from MetaSlider Pro into the free plugin. If you host videos in your WordPress media library, you can now add them directly to a slideshow without needing the Pro version.
- Local sliders in Free: Upload or choose a video from your media library and use it as a slide in the free plugin.
- Livid video slides in Free: You can paste a Livid.com video URL when adding a slide and MetaSlider will create the embed for you.

More reliable imports, previews, and carousel slideshows
This release also tightens up several areas that affect day-to-day slideshow management. The Import page now communicates when an import is running, shows progress, and stops listing slideshows as ready to import after they have already been imported.
- Elementor display fix: Slideshows added through Elementor should no longer appear blank on mobile or Safari.
- Carousel stability: Carousel-mode slideshows should retain carousel settings when mobile slide settings or per-device slide counts are used.
- Carousel navigation: Carousel slideshows should no longer require an extra arrow click to reach the last slide or return from it.
- Device-specific previews: The slideshow preview now works when different slide counts are set for mobile, tablet, and desktop.
- Admin preview sizing: The admin preview no longer collapses to 1px wide when no saved width setting exists.
- Widget-area output: Slideshows added to sidebars or widget areas should now load their styles and animations correctly.
- Settings visibility: The Loop setting is visible again when Carousel Mode is enabled.
- Slide settings consistency: Local Video and Livid video slides now show the Schedule and Advanced tabs available on Image slides.
Security and maintenance updates
MetaSlider Slideshow 3.113.0 includes a security fix through an updated bundled query string library. The bundled TinyMCE editor library was also updated, translations were refreshed, and the production plugin zip now leaves out development source files such as Vue, Sass, and bundled library sources.
For developers
The most relevant developer-facing change is packaging-related: development-only source trees and build artifacts are excluded from the distributed plugin zip. The Livid video implementation also now builds embed markup in PHP instead of storing generated iframe HTML in post meta, which should make stored slide data cleaner and reduce reliance on cached markup.
