There are some great new updates for MetaSlider available now. You’ll find new ways to customize the themes and lots of helpful improvements.
We’re building the most user-friendly slideshow plugin in WordPress, and this is another step towards that goal.
You can now upgrade to MetaSlider Free 3.92 and MetaSlider Pro 2.41. In this guide, I’ll show you what’s new in these releases.

New Color Controls
In this release, you’ll find improved customization controls under several themes. You can now choose the color for the theme’s arrows, navigation, captions and Auto Play buttons. We’ve made this available for four themes. In the next release, we’ll add these controls to the other themes. We’re also going to keep expanding this range of customization options.
New Sorting and Filtering options
The main “Slideshows” screen in MetaSlider now has more ways to sort and filter your slideshows. We heard from some users who had 100’s of slideshows. This screen now shows additional data in columns on this screen:
Improved Layer Slides controls
We continue to update the the Layer Slides feature so that the controls are easier to use. In this week’s release the color pickers and the layer controls are both refreshed.
Do you have a way to easily sort slides and/or have user control over when adding new images to slideshow to appear at the beginning rather than the end? This feature alone would make me want to upgrade. It is standard on most other slideshow plugins like Next Gen. Currently the way you have it you can only sort one slide at a time and when you have many images in slideshow it is very difficult to move the last (bottom) slide to the top – which is what most clients want when they update their slideshows. Please include this feature – if you do, it’s an instant upgrade for me!
Hey John. Yes, this is possible. Go to “Settings & Help” then choose the “New slides order” option. You can choose “First” or “Last”.
