TikTok has revolutionized social media in the last few years. The platform is famous for the short, vertical video format that has spread to YouTube, Instagram, and even business-focused social networks such as LinkedIn.
Here at MetaSlider, a lot of our customers produce videos for their business. Previously those videos were for YouTube, Vimeo, and Instagram. Now many are adding TikTok too.
In this guide, I’ll share three ways to show TikTok videos on your WordPress website.

Option #1. Single TikTok video embeds
The simplest way to add a TikTok video to your site is with a Gutenberg block. This is part of the WordPress core and doesn’t require any extra plugins. When writing a post, search for the “TikTok” block, as in this screenshot.
You can then enter the full URL for your video. Click the “Embed” button.
You will now be able to see the TikTok video in your post. If you don’t see the video immediately, check that your browser doesn’t have any adblockers or social media blocking extensions.
Option #2. A feed of your TikTok videos
If you regularly post new videos to TikTok, you can consider adding an automatic feed of your new videos. I recommend the QuadLayers TikTok Feed plugin for this. After installing the plugin, you will need to authorize it using your TikTok account.
- Click the blue “Add TikTok account” button in the Settings area.
- On the next screen, you’ll be asked to log into your TikTok account:
- You will now be asked to confirm that you’re giving permission for the plugin to read data from your profile.
- Once that’s finished, you’ll have a shortcode you can use to embed a gallery of your videos in your post. This image below shows three TikTok videos in the default layout provided by the QuadLayers TikTok Feed plugin.
Option #3. Create a TikTok slideshow
TikTok Slides are available in MetaSlider Pro. TikTok Slides will display a video in your slideshow directly from TikTok.com.
- Click the “Add Slide” button to launch the Media Manager.
- Select “TikTok” from the left.
- Paste any TikTok URL into the text input.
- Click the “Add to slideshow” button.
- You will now see a new slider with a preview of your TikTok video:
- Choose a good height and width for your videos. TikTok videos use a 16:9 aspect ratio. Click here for more details on recommended sizes. So in the right sidebar, choose an appropriate height and width. 325px wide and 540px high is a common choice.
TikTok slides will work with any theme, but we do provide a theme called “Social Play” that is specifically optimized for vertical, social videos.
