The November releases of MetaSlider are now available with tons of new features.
When you install these versions, you’ll find big improvements to the export and import feature. You’ll find a new theme, the ability to customize the Play / Pause button, and better support for WordPress caching plugins.
We’re building the most user-friendly slideshow plugin in WordPress, and this release is another step towards that.
You can now upgrade to MetaSlider Free 3.103 and MetaSlider Pro 2.51. In this guide, I’ll show you what’s new in these releases. Here are the full changelogs.

Export and import improvements
The MetaSlider export and import process is now much improved. Previously, you were required to manually move your images and videos to a new site. Now when you export a slideshow, you’ll also receive all the media in that slideshow. This change will make it much quicker to export and import slideshows.

New theme: Nami
The Nami theme is a new addition to the themes available in MetaSlider. This theme provides 2 columns to split your images and captions. By default, the caption takes two-thirds of the slideshow.

Customize the play/pause button
We often adding a Play / Pause button to your slideshows, especially if Auto Play is enabled. Automatically slideshows may annoy or confuse some users so it’s a good idea to provide an easy way for them to pause the motion.
It’s now possible to customize the appearance of those Play / Pause buttons. In MetaSlider Pro, use the Theme Editor feature. Go to the “Play / Pause Button” tab and you can customize the design and position of this button.
Yearly schedule
In MetaSlider Pro, you will see a “Schedule” tab that allows to choose when to show each individual slide. There’s now a “Yearly” option available to you can create a slide that will show between the “From” and “To” dates every year.
Flush the cache
For MetaSlider Pro users, there’s now an option to automatically flush your site’s cache when saving slideshow changes. This allows you to immediately see any changes you’ve made. This feature supports WP Rocket, WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache, WP-Optimize, and WP Fastest Cache.

Pro version of MetaSlider Lightbox Coming Soon
One of the most popular requests we get from MetaSlider users is a lightbox option. The idea is for visitors to click on any image in your slideshow and get an enhanced look at that image.
We’ve just released another new and improved version of the MetaSlider Lightbox plugin. There are many more features coming in the next few weeks, plus a Pro version of the plugin. This screenshot gives a preview of how the lightbox will appear.
The new features in the Pro version will include social sharing, auto-play, zoom. image rotation and flipping, and more.
