The Post Feed Slides feature in MetaSlider allows you to show the excerpt from your posts. MetaSlider uses the output from the WordPress core, so those changes will be reflected in your MetaSlider slideshows. There are multiple ways to change the excerpt length in WordPress.
Option #1. Plugins
The first option is to use a plugin. One that recommend is Advanced Excerpt.
Option #2. Code
The second option is to include the following code in your themes functions.php file.
function custom_excerpt_length( $length ) { return 30; // show 30 words } add_filter( ‘excerpt_length’, ‘custom_excerpt_length’, 999 );
Option #3. Custom excerpts
The third option is to manually create your excerpts in WordPress. To do this, edit a post and go to “Screen Options” at the top of the page. Check the “Excerpt” box. You should now see a text area where you can enter a custom excerpt for your posts.
